Reviews

Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC has made this process very easy for me. I love being able to go in and completely see and review my account, and all transactions. The Chat was even easy to use. I got immediate response and actions taken. Fantastic.
Tried to make a payment and with my debit card. Recieved message "debit card declined". I have no issue with such debit card so not sure why declined. Was able to make payment with another debit card also associated with the same account (bank account) and went through without any issues.
This is much easier than trying to deal with people over the phone. The only thing I wish they would change when setting up the payment plan is that they would let you chose the date that works best for you rather than simply applying the date you make the agreement. But I am making some headway.
I understand I have payments to make. I cannot due to current financial situation. I made this case to the phone operator months ago however I keep getting daily phone calls at all odd hours of the day. They even spoof their phone numbers to call me nonstop. This is harassment and a violation of my privacy. Edit: Portfolio Recovery has filed a lawsuit against me because I couldn't pay. My balance is only $1700. They have wasted more time and money with this lawsuit, which they will lose, than I ever owed them.
They claimed I owed a debt to them from an account that was paid for in full 4 years ago. Now they are claiming I owe them money. I like to know how they were able to not only get ahold of my credit report, but this so called debt. When I tried talking to them about it, they said it's a debt that is in collections and needs to be taken care of. They aren't showing on my credit report. They are a scam. Avoid them completely. Don't talk or do any kind of business with them.
