QUESTIONNAIRE
Client facing Dangerous Offender Assessment order to initiate a Dangerous Offender hearing. All the Crown needed to show was that the accused "might" be found to be a Dangerous Offender. I was able to convince the Judge that there was no way my client "might" be found a Dangerous Offender.
How did you build a successful practice?Honesty. By being honest with my clients and approaching their case as if it was my own has given me a great reputation in Criminal Law.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?See above- honesty. If you can't trust your lawyer you can't trust them with your future.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Extremely. Having 16 years experience allows me to draw upon my knowledge of the Judges so I can get us before the right Judge. I know who the Crown's are- the senior Crowns and I can get them to assist in order to obtain better results.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?Usually what the range in sentence is and generally what the chances one has going to trial. I can definitely go over the strengths and weaknesses of the Crown's case if I have disclosure.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?Disclosure is helpful to provide an assessment of the case but not necessary. Bail papers if there is a bail is also helpful.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?I am an experienced lawyer that is honest. Most lawyers will take a retainer and then tell you you don't need a lawyer- I will tell you if you need my services or not.
