JAMES B. SHERMAN is a shareholder in Wessels Sherman Joerg Liszka Laverty Seneczko P.C. After practicing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for over ten years, Mr. Sherman opened the firm's fifth office, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A native Minnesotan, Mr. Sherman has been licensed to practice and has handled litigation and labor matters in Minnesota since 1987. He has been involved in employment litigation and labor matters throughout the United States.

For more than twenty years, Mr. Sherman has concentrated his practice in representing management's interests in matters before state and federal courts; the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB); the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP); the Department of Labor (DOL); the Minnesota Department of Human Rights; the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development; the Illinois Human Rights Commission; the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and similar state and local agencies. Additionally, Mr. Sherman is a consultant and frequent business lecturer on employment issues such as civil rights/harassment; the Americans with Disabilities Act; family and medical leave laws; sales representative commissions laws; employment agreements/restrictive covenants; collective bargaining; union organizing; plant closing laws; wage and hour laws; and many other legal issues involved in the employer/employee relationship.
