Leland C. Bussell was born in Kansas City and raised in Graham, Missouri. He attended Rountree grade school and graduated from Neosho high School in 1943. After two years in the United States Navy, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in 1949 and thereafter received his LL.B/JD from the University of Missouri in February of 1951.
Mr. Bussell became "of counsel" to the firm in April 1997, following 46 years of practice in his own firm, the last firm being that of Bussell, O'Neal & Hall. The original Bussell partnership was established in 1960 between Leland C. Bussell and the Honorable E. Mitchell Hough, formerly an Associate Circuit Judge in Christian County, Missouri.
Mr. Bussell is married to his wife Marty of sixty years, and they have three children and three grandchildren. In his leisure time he enjoys going fishing and reading.
Mr. Bussell is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri before all courts, including the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
