Mr. Michael L. Sullivan, Attorney

Michael L. Sullivan ("Sully") leads the Zoning, Land Use & Government Relations practice at Andersen, Tate & Carr. His practice is focused on representing clients in zoning, land use and government matters before numerous county and city governments in North Metro Atlanta area. Mr. Sullivan is also a registered Georgia lobbyist, representing clients in government relations and lobbying efforts before local governments, state agencies and departments and the Georgia General Assembly.

Mr. Sullivan's strong commitment to public service and community involvement is evident from his service with the following boards and organizations: appointed to the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia by Governor Sonny Perdue; Chairman of the Gwinnett County Water & Sewer Authority; Council for Quality Growth (Board of Directors); Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce (Public Policy Council); Gwinnett Open Land Trust (Board of Directors) and the Georgia Property Rights Coalition. Mr. Sullivan has previously been appointed by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Gwinnett Clean Indoor Air Ordinance Study Committee (Chairman, 2004) and Gwinnett County Impact Fee Study Committee (Chairman, 2006). Mr. Sullivan has twice been named to James Magazine's annual list of "Georgia Super Lawyers."

Mr. Sullivan's political involvement includes: the Republican National Committee (Alternate-Delegate to 2004 Republican National Convention); Georgia Republican Party (State Committee, 2002-2005) & Georgia Republican Foundation (2002-present); Gwinnett Republican Party (General Counsel, 2002-2005); Athens-Clarke County Republican Party (Vice Chairman, 1998-2000); Gwinnett Young Republicans (Chairman, 2001-2003). Mr. Sullivan is also a founder and director of the Live Oak Republicans, Inc. and the Lincoln Club of Georgia, Inc. and has been actively involved with other political action committees including the Gwinnett Republican Foundation, Inc. (Board of Directors) and Republican Leadership Fund (Secretary and General Counsel). Mr. Sullivan served as the Gwinnett County Campaign Co-Chair for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue in 2002 and 2006 and was a member of Governor Perdue's Inaugural Committee.

Mr. Sullivan served as a member of the University of Georgia School of Law's Younger Law Alumni Committee and has worked to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and the Gwinnett Children's Shelter.

Mr. Sullivan received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was President of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Moot Court Team and the Federalist Society. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Georgia, where he was President of Phi Alpha Delta.

Mr. Sullivan is licensed to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Sullivan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section and Local Government Law Section), Gwinnett County Bar Association, Republican National Lawyers Association and Federalist Society. Mr. Sullivan also serves as the Firm's Recruiting Coordinator.

Mr. Sullivan, His wife, Rebecca Sullivan, have two children: Gracie and Nash. The Sullivans live in Lilburn and attend Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville.
