Summary: Things you need to know about filing a bankruptcy

As a part of every bankruptcy you lose your tax refund for a year at least in the chapter 7. The best advice I can give you is don't make the mistake of over withholding on your paycheck. Many people rely erroneously on a big refund every year as if it is a savings account.

The reality is you can do more every month with more money in your pocket than the government can and worst of all you are loaning them money interest free! I would rather have clients not have about a tax refund! I would rather have a client owe the IRS $100 then get back $10,000 that they could've used during the year.
Bankruptcy has nothing to do with your value as a human being, your value is based on those who love you and value you as a part of their life.
