Yanez & Associates collaborative divorce attorneys, Bettina Yanez, launched a video titled, “CaliforniaCollaborative Divorce Lawyers for Irvine, Orange County”. The collaborative divorce attorney explains how the collaborative divorce process works in the State of California.

Attorney Bettina Yanez produced a video explaining the collaborative divorce process in California.

In the video attorney Bettina Yanez a Certified Family Law Specialist explains, collaborative divorce is an alternative process for individuals to terminate their marriage in a respectful dispute resolution with straight interaction and with the backing of skilled specialists such as accountants, child therapists and divorce coaches.

Both party’s lawyers and professionals will labor with the individuals in order to achieve a contract without court involvement. The concept is that if everyone works collectively with the experts and counsel towards an agreement that is fair and equitable, then costly litigation can be avoided.

The Collaborative divorce process is designed to be a voluntary process. The parties must willingly agree and promise to settle their divorce matter without trial. The procedure will involve the parties and their lawyers signing a contract to use the collaborative process and each of the parties will be represented by an attorney.

The collaborative divorce attorneys together with the aid of financial specialists and mental health experts will meet in order to have the information needed to get to the bottom of any unresolved issues.

The objective is for the parties to participate in good faith attempts to amicably resolve their marriage dissolution matters; for instance, child and spousal support, custody, visitation and the division of property.

If the attempt of a collaborative divorce procedure fails and one or both of the participants decide to continue to litigation, then the collaborative divorce agreement conditions call for the current counsel representation of the parties to terminate.

For the Spanish speaking community the firm launched “Abogados en California sobre Divorcio Colaborativo” a website that caters to the Hispanic community.
