DUI convictions, more than any other crime, require mandatory sanctions put-in-place as a part of the defendant’s sentence. In addition to the above consequences, the courts also order that every DUI defendant complete either DUI school or Multi-Offender DUI School and the Victim Impact Panel. And in order to complete DUI school, you must also complete a Substance Abuse Evaluation and undergo any required treatment or counseling if it is recommended.
If it seems that DUI penalties are extreme and virtually unending, it is because they are. And the consequences can take a real toll on a person, both emotionally and financially.
That is why most people charged with a DUI of any level, normally seek out a DUI Defense Attorney to help mitigate and minimize the effect of these penalties as much as possible, if not to get the DUI reduced or dismissed altogether. Call Anthony Blackburn 904-887-0013
