When an accident occur, the injured person should be compensated adequately. In Texas, that is not always the case. Many insurance companies have made it a point to have laws passed on their favor and against the injured victims.

Starting with medical malpractice, Texas has some strange laws that protect the insurance, not the victims. Sometimes, not even the doctors are protected from these laws, since they continue to pay high premiums to the insurance companies. So, who gets the benefits from it. The insurance companies.

In the auto accidents arena, Texas now allows the victims of accidents–to be potentially exposed to pay attorneys fees–for the insurance companies lawyers, if they loose a case. What? Who benefits? The insurance company.

In civil rights cases, when a person has been brutalized by a cop, unless the injury is more than de minimus, the victim will not have a case in any of the districts in Texas. Never mind that the cop abused his/her power, no case. Insurance wins!

We wanted to make this article short ans sweet because writing an extensive article will only aggravate the already injured victim. We are working hard to make some substantial changes in the law to protect the injured victim, not the insurance companies.
