I am often asked.... "Can I really get a change in my parenting schedule or will it be a waste of time/money/energy?"

Fortunately, Tennessee law has changed significantly over the past several years and many parents are finding that they can be awarded more time with their child/children.

Tennessee courts are now looking to "maximize time" with the parents of a child.  That oftentimes may afford a parent more than the commonplace "every other weekend" schedule that he/she is currently receiving.  The courts have effectively softened the previous stringent standard that was sometimes used as a roadblock to modify a parenting schedule and many parents are receiving time that is making a real difference in their respective relationships with their child/children.
