Summary: On December 11, 2017, the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) announced that Jankhana Desai was sworn in as a new Immigration Judge for the Los Angeles Immigration Court.
On December 11, 2017, the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) announced that Jankhana Desai was sworn in as a new Immigration Judge for the Los Angeles Immigration Court. The investiture ceremony for Immigration Judge Desai took place on December 8, 2017. Jankhana Desai was appointed to the Los Angeles Immigration Court by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.Jankhana Desai, a graduate of University of California, Berkeley School of Law, previously served as an administrative law judge for the New York State Department of Health and as an administrative law judge for the State of California, Office of Administrative Hearings. She was also an adjunct law professor prior to being sworn in to serve on the Los Angelis Immigration Court.
