Montgomery Pisano Helping Soles4Souls Eradicate Extreme Poverty
Los
Altos, CA (August 2016) -- Attorney Montgomery Pisano announces his office is now a drop-off location
for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit global social enterprise committed to fighting
poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing.
Attorney
Montgomery Pisano, of Peninsula Law Group, is proud to announce his office, located at 5150 El Camino Real,
Suite D-22 in Los Altos, CA, is now an official Soles4Souls drop-off location.
“I highly encourage everyone in the community to drop by my office and drop off
a new or gently worn pair of shoes to help the less fortunate,” said Pisano.
“It is also the perfect opportunity to put your kids’ used shoes to good use as
you buy them new ones for the upcoming school year, while helping a child in
need somewhere else be able to attend school, perhaps for the first time.”
The mission of Soles4Souls is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050.
Children every day are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to
work as walking becomes unbearable, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty.
However, Soles4Souls aims to wear out poverty one pair of donated shoes at a
time. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 26 million
pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50
states in the U.S.
“In many developing
nations walking is the primary mode of transportation,” said Pisano. “Every
pair of donated shoes counts, and can give a person in need a brighter
tomorrow.”
