Thakurdin Attorney the Author of Books in Employment Law Field

An attorney with the law firm of Jeremy Thakurdin & Associates is a recognized author in the field of labor and employment law.

Erich Schuttauf, who joined the firm in September this year penned the text for the Recruiting Manual for Managers and Supervisors, as well as the Performance Management Manual for Managers and Supervisors. Both are available from CCH Incorporated, or on "http://www.amazon.com.

The book is currently enjoying its third printing. It includes such sections as a Legal Overview, Finding the Right Person, Reviewing Applications (lawfully), Affirmative Action, as well as legal and illegal interview questions and much more. Though written some years ago, the book is "timeless" because it focuses on long-established legal principles that do not change, even if statutes and regulations do.

The Performance Management Manual covers everything from Performance Management And the Law, to Setting Good Goals, Evaluations, Coaching and Discipline among the topics. Helpful sample forms and checklists round out the materials provided.

The books are designed to be a quick-read, and to supplement existing company policies. Rather than trying to turn managers into lawyers, they simply explain why company Human Resources policies operate the way that they do. The books are on the shelves of countless university and law libraries and were incorporated into business school curriculum for some time also.

In addition to authoring the works above, Schuttauf was a contributing editor to Start, Run & Grow A Successful Small Business, where he provided many of the tips on hiring and retaining employees.
