Summary: On October 12, 2018, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that construction has begun on a new home for the USCIS Texas Service Center.

The current Texas Service Center spans “three buildings on two campuses that are 17 miles apart.” The new Texas Service Center will consolidate these three campuses into one facility. It is expected to be completed in spring of 2020. The USCIS states that it “will help streamline operations” at the Texas Service Center.
