I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as an Assistant State Attorney for over three years in both Lee and Charlotte County. During these years, I handled thousands of criminal cases ranging from DUIs and other misdemeanors to complex felony economic crimes and sex crimes. This afforded me invaluable trial experience as well as allowing me the ability to learn the inner workings of the Judicial System. I have since decided to refocus my efforts on serving the community by protecting the rights of those accused of criminal offenses. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from City University of Seattle and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. After years of work as a software engineer, I chose to pursue a degree in law and graduated with Honors from Ave Maria School of Law in 2017. While in law school, I gained experience in Criminal Law through an internship with the US Attorney’s Office in Fort Myers and worked with a firm in Naples, focusing on litigation involving real-estate and investment disputes. I look forward to using my knowledge, experience, and determination to help you get past whatever legal hurdle happens to be in your way.

Susan is also the mother of four by adoption - two adopted as young children and two adopted as adults. Susan proudly represents parties in LGTBQ (same-sex), relative, stepparent and grandparent adoptions. In addition to adoptions, Ms. Stockham has represented gestational carriers, surrogates and intended parents in building families. Susan is the recipient the of the Angel Adoption Award from The Congressional Coalition of Adoption Institute; and the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from The Florida Adoption Council. Susan L. Stockham also serves on the Florida Bar Adoption Law Board Certification Committee.

Michael prides himself on fighting for clients facing serious criminal charges. His advocacy often extends beyond the courtroom as he frequently assists clients with potential collateral repercussions from their legal troubles. Michael is familiar with the uniqueness of each individual case and will tailor his representation to those needs. After several years as a prosecutor and General Counsel for the Broward County Police Benevolence Association (PBA), Michael White started his own practice focused on protecting individuals accused of crime. While serving in the State Attorney’s Office, he was responsible for investigating and prosecuting hundreds of cases across numerous divisions in County and Circuit Court, including jury trials, motions to suppress, pretrial motions and non-jury trials. In 2018, Michael was nominated by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) for Prosecutor of the Year for the state of Florida. At the PBA, Michael represented police officers accused of wrongdoing either criminally or administratively. He also negotiated collective bargaining agreements for numerous police agencies with cities throughout Broward County, Florida.

Michael was born and raised in Florida. He spent much of his youth working in orange groves and watermelon fields in Central Florida. Michael knows the roots of this community and works hard to help people in all circumstances. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Utah State University in 2008, Michael pursued a law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law. He graduated in 2011 and was admitted to the Florida Bar. Michael is also licensed to practice law in Georgia. While in school, Michael interned with the State Attorney's Office and went on to work as an Assistant State Attorney. He learned the criminal justice system first hand and found his passion for criminal defense. Thomas Gilbert is an attorney licensed in Florida and New Jersey. Mr. Gilbert received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education and social sciences from the University of Tampa and his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Riverview, Florida. While pursuing his law degree, Mr. Gilbert interned at the St. Michael’s Legal Center, a pro bono legal clinic focusing on family law issues. After graduating from law school, Mr. Gilbert served as a judicial law clerk in the Family Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. During his clerkship, Mr. Gilbert conducted legal research, analyzed legal data, and prepared legal memoranda for the Family Division judges. He also conducted many successful parenting time mediations in non-divorce cases. After his clerkship, Mr. Gilbert worked in private practice at two midsize family law firms before joining The Law Offices of Robert Geller. Well-versed in the latest developments in the law, Mr. Gilbert is adept at guiding clients to address their plans for both the short- and long-term consequences of Family Court proceedings. Mr. Gilbert is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol and as an Officer with the Tampa Police Department before beginning his law career. Beyond his corporate roles, he worked as an independent business consultant, guiding the development and turnaround of small to mid-sized companies across various sectors, including brokerage, retail sales, and technology. In his most recent role as an Assistant Public Defender for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, Mr. Gilbert advocated for indigent persons facing legal challenges, showcasing his commitment to justice and community service. As a seasoned Wall Street veteran and reputable attorney, Mr. Gilbert is devoted to addressing diverse client needs, from estate planning and asset protection to business, commercial, and corporate law matters.
