Miguelangel Matos, Attorney

Miguelangel Matos is an Associate with Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal, P.C. in the San Antonio office. Miguel's practice covers litigation, criminal prosecution, and city attorney work. Currently Miguel handles litigation involving labor and employment issues including First Amendment, due process, Title VII, ADEA, and ADA issues; as well as tort and taking issues for municipalities and other governmental entities. He currently serves as the municipal prosecutor for the Cities of Cibolo, Live Oak, La Vernia, Buda, Copperas Cove, Roma, San Felipe, and Shavano Park.

Miguel is the only member of the Firm from the east coast. He was born and raised in the Bronx, New York and graduated from Princeton University in 2000. Although he graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2004, he also attended the University of San Francisco School of Law as a visiting student. He joined the Firm as a law clerk/paralegal in October 2005. Upon successfully passing the bar exam he became an associate.

Miguel is an annual presenter at the AACOG Newly Elected Officials Workshop, and at the Firm's Hog Wild Municipal Conference. In 2008 he was a speaker at the Texas Municipal League's Texas City Attorney's Association 96th Annual Conference.
