Summary: [WATCH VIDEO] "Securing & Maintaining Las Vegas Swimming Pools" by Las Vegas Real Estate Attorneys

Going for a swim, cooling off during hot days, hosting pool parties. One might often imagine doing these fun activities when having a swimming pool.

What many people don’t consider are the requirements that come with having a pool. These requirements include maintaining and securing the pool.

In Las Vegas, the requirements governing this is found in the Las Vegas Swimming Pool and Spa Code.

Section 305 of the Las Vegas Swimming Pool and Spa Code relates to placing barriers around residential pools.

305.2 specifies that a swimming pool must be secured by a barrier that includes gates and doors at least 8 feet (2.4 m) high measured from inside the enclosed area.
