Q: If a worker is injured while doing a job other than her regular job, but during work hours, will workers comp still pay?
Answer: While you do not say whether you are furthering the affairs of your employer, you could proabably make the argument you were furthering their affairs just by being at work so you were available to them. Also you do not say whether you were working on your employer's premise? As long as you were not on a lunch break, off the premise, or working for another employer you should be on solid ground to get paid. There was a case a few years ago where an airline stewardess slipped and fell in a shower at a hotel while waiting for her next day's shift; her injuries were compensable. Your injuries should be also! Good luck.
With respct to workers compensation, must an employee be performing regular work duties to qualify for benefits?
