Kirsten (Kit) J. Hansen, Attorney

Kit Hansen is an associate at Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. and is licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.  She focuses her practice in the areas of construction defect, general liability law, and professional liability with a concentration on medical malpractice and legal malpractice. 

Kit's construction practice includes counseling and representing clients in both commercial and residential matters.  Since the beginning of her practice, she has handled numerous residential construction defect matters with issues ranging from siding, soffit, fascia, and gutter defects to moisture intrusion, foundation-related damages, window installation defects, and electrical and plumbing problems.  Kit has also handled several multi-family townhome and condominium matters.  Her comprehensive knowledge and experience within the construction industry allows her to navigate issues efficiently, while developing creative solutions to meet her clients' needs.

Throughout her career, Kit has also developed valuable experience within the professional liability arena.  She has represented numerous practitioners within the medical field, including doctors, nurses, and physician's assistants, in both personal injury and death matters.  Kit has also handled numerous legal malpractice matters, representing lawyers in a variety of malpractice issues.

With licenses in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, Kit has had the opportunity to represent countless businesses, property owners, and individuals in a variety of general liability claims, including slip and fall, property damages, premises liability, and defamation.
