In 1994, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he graduated with honors. After college, Brent followed through with his ambition of becoming a lawyer, enrolling at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned his law degree in 1997. Gary is a native of Southern California, born in Los Angeles, and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in History.
