Motor Vehicle Traffic

Summary: Left Lane Enforcement

Illinois State Police officers plan to crack down on drivers who stay in the left lane on the expressways. Stay out of the left lane. Lane violations are considered moving violations and can lead to a suspension of your driving privileges.  Remember, being convicted of 3 moving violations in a 12-month period can suspend your driving privileges.  If charged with a lane violation, it is best to hire a traffic law lawyer or CDL lawyer to ensure that you are not convicted of the violation.
